Denis is at an international summer camp. He has friends from different countries of the world. He wants to learn more about the countries and looks at the map. Where are his friends from?

France is one of the most beautiful European countries with a rich history and culture. The population is more than 66 million people. People who live in France are called French. They speak the French language. The capital of the country is Paris. The most famous sights are the Eifel Tower, the Louvre and Notre Dame de Paris. France is known for its beautiful landscapes, museums and tasty food.

Canada is one of the largest and most beautiful countries. It is a constitutional monarchy. The population is about 36 million. People who live in Canada are called Canadians. They speak English and French. The capital of the country is Ottawa. The most famous sights are the national parks, Red Bay whaling station and Dinosaur Park. Canada is known for its beautiful landscapes, maple trees and winter sports.

The USA is one of the largest countries with strong democratic traditions. The population is more than 309 million. People from the USA are called Americans. They speak the English language. The capital of the country is Washington DC. The most famous sights are Time Square, the Statue of Liberty and the Grand Canyon. The USA is known for its strong economy and politics, famous museums and art galleries.

Japan is one of the most developed countries with a rich history and unique culture and traditions. Its population is more than 126 million. People living in Japan are Japanese. They speak the Japanese language. The capital of the country is Tokyo. The most famous sights are the Imperial Palace, Fujiyama and the Tokyo TV Tower. Japan is famous for martial arts, national parks and special traditions.

Australia is a country and a continent with unique wildlife. The population is about 25 million. People born in Australia are called Australians. They speak the English language. The capital of the country is Canberra. The most famous sights are the Sydney Opera House, national parks and a Lake Hiller, which is pink. Australia is known for its beautiful landscapes and aboriginal culture.

New Zealand, the country with the cleanest ecology, is not far from Australia. Its population is about 5 million. People from in New Zealand are New Zealanders. They speak English. The capital of the country is Wellington. The most famous sights are the Auckland Aquarium, the TV Tower, national parks and botanical gardens. New Zealand is famous as hobbits’ land with old cathedrals and churches.
