If you want to write a short essay about your room you should follow a simple plan:

• give brief information about your flat;
• characterize your room with a couple of adjectives;
• describe the location of furniture in your room;
• write your personal opinion about your room.

My Room (sample essay)

We live in a three bedroom flat. The room I like best in our flat is my bedroom.

I use my room as a study and a bedroom. It is very nice and cosy.

There isn’t much furniture in it. On the left there is my bed and a desk next to it. The desk has a lot of drawers where I keep my text-books, notes, pens, pencils and other things. There is my PC on the desk. On the right there is a sofa and a wardrobe. In the right corner there is a comfortable armchair. There are two bookcases with books in my room. There is a big carpet on the floor. There are some posters with my favourite singers on the walls.

I like my room very much. My room is a nice place for both rest and studying.
