Photosynthesis is a chemical reaction when plants turn sunlight and carbon dioxide into oxygen. This process is responsible for producing and maintaining the level of oxygen in the atmosphere. Although different species use a bit different algorithm, the result is the same, carbon dioxide and water under the influence of the light from the sun are turned into sugar and oxygen. Due to the production of the oxygen, the evolution of the life was possible.
