Пояснения:

Косвенная речь, это пересказ смысла предложения.

Перевод из прямой речи в косвенную речь в случае, если вводный глагол стоит в прошедшем времени осуществляется следующим образом:

⦁ Present Simple changes into Past Simple; e.g. “I go to school every day”, said Jim. changes into: Jim said that he went to school every day.

⦁ Present Perfect changes into Past Perfect; e.g. “I have read a book”, said Jim changes into Jim said that he had read a book.

⦁ Present Continuous changes into Past Continuous; e.g. “I’m reading a book now”, said Jim. changes into Jim said that he was reading a book at that moment.

⦁ Past Simple changes into Past Perfect; e.g. “I went to school yesterday”, said Jim. changes into Jim said that he had gone to school the day before.

⦁ Future Simple changes into would + V1. e.g. “I will go to school tomorrow”, Jim said changes into Jim said that he would go to school the next day.

Необходимо помнить, что индикаторы места и времени тоже меняются.

⦁ Next week –the following week

⦁ Yesterday — the day before

⦁ This day — that day

⦁ Ago-before
