Урок № 45. Community Volunteer

На уроке мы:

• узнаем слова по теме «Волонтёрская работа в сообществе»;
• научимся использовать слова и рассказывать о волонтёрском движении.

Task 1. Познакомься со слова урока.

Volunteering a few hours each week to some community activity is (1)_________________ in the future of our society. Students who are not good readers cannot keep up with their studies. They will not understand the lessons; (4)_________________; they will not be able to perform. By learning to read, students (5)________________ with their classmates. They will be active participants in class.

Ann: Don`t you want to become a volunteer, Mike?

As a volunteer/engineer, my duties were to explore/entertain the elderly. For example, I would take them for walks/works, or play ping pong with them, whichever they ordered/preferred. In addition, I would read the newspaper for them if they asked. I would also hold “coffee club’ every Sunday at 10:00 a.m., where they got their choice/noise of coffee or tea and some dreams/treats to go along with their hot drink. Sometimes, I even gave them manicures. Other times, I would just simply talk to them and they would tell me their life/file stories, and about when they were poorer/younger. It was interesting to hear about their life and how different/various things were in the past.

Упражнение позволяет тренироваться в использовании активной лексики, способствует более прочному усвоению значений изучаемых слов. Лексические единицы находятся в контексте, легче запоминаются.

Ответы:

Упражнение позволяет тренировать учащихся в употреблении частей речи. Распределяя слова в таблицу, ученик учитывает и запоминает формальные признаки частей речи. Этот навык будет полезен и в дальнейшем.
