In Russia schoolchildren begin to study at 9:00. In secondary school they have 5 or 6 lessons a day. Each lesson lasts for 45 minutes. Students have breaks after each lesson. Lessons are not very long: about 10 or 15 minutes. During the break students can have lunch and have a rest. Russian students come home at about 2 or 3 p. m. They also have to do homework every day.

At school you don`t only speak with friends. You also work at the lessons.

You can work alone, but it`s more effective to work in pairs or in groups.

Remember the rules of a group work. They will help you to learn better.

Look at your partner.

Listen to him.

Smile and say kind words.

Share your things.

Think of new ideas.

Ask questions.

Students often write SMS or chat online. How do they shorten words for texting them? Look at the table. You will find examples of words you already know. You can use them while texting.
